What the guided tool collects
The seven guided situations use the choices you make in your browser to prepare an educational result. The guided tool does not ask for your name, email address, full policy, or payment information.
Optional ChatGPT-powered questions
If you choose to type a general question into the optional ChatGPT-powered section, the question text is sent to OpenAI to generate a plain-English educational response. The request is configured not to store the response through the OpenAI API.
Do not include personal or sensitive information in your question. Use general descriptions and redact identifying details.
Purchases and external pages
When you choose to view or buy a guide, you may be sent to a separate checkout page. That provider handles the information you enter there under its own privacy and payment practices. The Coverage Clarity Tool does not collect card information.
Information you should not share
- Social Security or driver’s license numbers
- Full policy, claim, loan, or bank-account numbers
- Names, street addresses, VINs, or other identifying details
- Unredacted policy packets or claim documents
